Dorchester Abbey

The Abbey Church of St Peter and St Paul, more usually called Dorchester Abbey, is a Church of England parish church. It was formerly a Norman abbey church and was built on the site of a Saxon cathedral.

 

The abbey is the site of the grave of one Sarah Fletcher, who's restless spirit is said to frequent various nearby sites, including the George Hotel.

Dorchester on Thames (or Dorchester-on-Thames) is a village in Oxfordshire, England.

It is situated about 3 miles northwest of Wallingford and 8 miles southeast of Oxford. The town is a few hundred yards from confluence of the River Thames and River Thame.
